good morning you guys welcome to Sunday
welcome back to my channel welcome to
the month of September what else can I
say welcome to right anyways I just
wanted to get on this morning and say
that I absolutely adore each and every
one of you guys the messages that I have
been receiving have been so beautiful
and so uplifting and such an amazing
reminder of how great life really is and
so I just wanted to say thank you to
everybody you guys have really helped me
and sometimes when it's been a little
bit a little bit hard to get through
some days and just being able to read
the messages and have the amazing
support and encouragement for each and
every day has made such a difference to
me that you guys would have no idea how
much I am so grateful for all of you and
I am so grateful to have each and every
one of you guys because if it wasn't for
you guys I wouldn't have a channel I
wouldn't have you know I wouldn't have
people to share my life with and my
stories with and for that I just want to
let you guys know that I never take it
for granted that I have all of you guys
here sharing in this fun adventure that
not only have I taken myself on but I've
taken all of you guys on with me and I
just again want to say thank you so much
for that and I also I have created
amazing friendships with a many of you
guys and I am so open to continue to
grow more friendships because to me
friendship is what makes life sometimes
bearable you know sometimes you just
need that extra friend to lean on in a
time that you might not feel like you
can just
you to push forward so I really just
want to say think you think you think
you to everybody I hope excuse me I hope
that when you guys come to my channel
that you come to my channel and don't
feel like you're stepping into a bubble
of negativity
you know this world has enough
negativity in it this world's got enough
eight in it that when you come to my
channel my goal in in this whole
experience that I've created is for
people to come to my channel and be able
to exit out of the negativity and exit
out from the hate and just be able to
focus on something that would be more
positive and that's why I have also
chosen to take my comment section and
put it to where I have to review each
and every comment that comes through
because I don't want to have hatred
spewed on my comment section it's not
fair for other people to have to read it
and I personally I don't want to read it
you know I wake up every morning and I
am so grateful that I get to see another
daylight and I get to spend another day
with my family and I don't want to come
on my YouTube channel and start
automatically reading negative comments
and reading things that you know I
really don't want to have to read it
doesn't take away from people putting
comments there and I do eventually have
to read through them because I have to
review them to put them out but it's in
a different view site when I do it that
way and also I know that you guys are
not seeing it and that's what makes it
all worth it I would rather see it
before I let you guys see it so who the
protection that I feel I have with you
guys is amazing and I just want to
continue to have that relationship with
all of you guys and knowing that in this
day and age
you do have a channel that you get to
come to and be a part of and you know
bounce ideas and opinions off of each
other but we all know how to do it in
such a respectful way that it's not
offensive and it's not like you have to
put your defense up when somebody is
speaking to you because in this channel
I do my very very very best very best to
not allow that to be a part of my
channel so anyways that was hot and
heavy I know but I just really wanted to
thank all of you guys because I love
everybody so a little story time because
I have been asked this question so many
times and I think they've covered it in
one of my videos I never I don't think
I've ever really went into detail no I
don't think I've ever made like an
absolute you know video to sorry you
guys I'm a just yeah just a little bit
let's make sure you're not gonna go
flying that would not be good
um I don't think I've ever made a video
just directed to this such as this topic
but um excuse me I woke up a little bit
raspy today I don't know why I'm hoping
I'm hoping that the change of weather
isn't gonna catch me because that's
usually what gets me anyways was the
trip from the States to Egypt so a lot
of people have asked me like how did you
do it Amy how did you travel let's get
this situated really quick because we
use weezing weezing playing this game
today I hope I'm not all crooked hope
I'm not all janky to you guys they're
all resting on my leg Amy's like stay
put um I hate looking like I feel like I
feel like I'm like looking down at you
guys like I guess I could do this hold
on just a minute
Oh better I don't feel like I'm like
looking down I can't stand that yes I
have my backscratcher
reaching those spots where you just
can't reach so I had a lot of people ask
me like how did you travel how did you
do this you know how did you figure out
where you were going what you were doing
because you know I mean let's face it
we've got language language barriers and
you know unfamiliar territory unfamiliar
places and so how did I do it and to be
honest with you I just I guess I just
did it I mean I don't know because so
when I before I ever left I had never
left organ except to go to California a
couple of times and that was just to go
to Disneyland so it's not like I went
way far out you know and I never ever
ever ever try I never traveled by myself
I always was traveling with family and
things like that so I've traveled to
California with family to go to
Disneyland and I traveled to Washington
State a couple of times and that was
just to go with family as well to go on
a vacation but I mean other than that to
like travel and like be in a plane or
leave the country but of all things
never so when the time came I'll never
forget I told one of my friends she says
well what do you think you're doing
meeting somebody clear back in Egypt
like what are you gonna do and I was
like well if the love is strong enough
then we'll figure it out like I'm not
worried about it and at this time I had
in the back of my mind that it probably
would not work out but I was going to
live the fantasy for as long as I could
and I know that sounds kind of like okay
but it's the truth like I figured okay
you know what I will let my dream be a
fantasy until I have to
to go so that was just my thing as i
just i said from the very beginning if
the love is worth it i'm worth it if the
love is strong enough we me or him work
we'll figure it out so months had been
went by and it was time to make a
decision like you know what are we gonna
do or are we going to continue with this
relationship are we going to call it off
like you know clearly if we're gonna
continue with this relationship we're
gonna have to what somebody's gonna have
to travel home i mean that's just that's
just the end of it and a lot of people
are like well why didn't ollie travel to
you like why why did you have to travel
back to egypt to an unknown land you
know and and I understand the question I
get it to a point but I mean I guess
because I know now why it was easier for
me to travel versus him coming here for
him to come here it would have taken a
lot more steps rather than me traveling
back there it was a one-step thing BAM
I'm done and I was on my way so at that
time I told him I said you know what I
think I'm just gonna travel back there
and now first he was like are you sure
and I'm like yeah I'm okay he's like
well how much have you traveled and I'm
like a zero so I bought my ticket and
I'll never forget the morning that I was
leaving I had a family member taking me
to the airport and he had just got his
SUV like couple days prior to us going
and I decided instead of flying out of
Portland Airport it was actually cheaper
to fly out of Seattle Airport so it was
a four-hour drive to get me to the
airport and so we left at like five
o'clock in the morning so I had to be
there like two hours before my flight to
check in because it was an international
flight and so going through customs
and all that I had to check in there so
our I had a check in by two hours prior
to leaving so we are driving and of
course you know nothing can ever happen
100% smooth something's always got to
happen especially when a me the name is
involved in it well something's about to
happen so we're driving down the freeway
and he started fishtailing
on the freeway it because again it was
5:30 in the morning it was in and it was
in November so of course the grounds
were a little bit slick because of the
dew and stuff like that so we were I
mean and he was flying down the freeway
I don't know why he was him I never ever
did understand why he was driving so
fast like I was like dude we're not like
we're not in a hurry I were perfect
timing I don't know why you know but he
was one of those family members you just
don't really don't say anything about
his driving because otherwise you like
totally offend him and then he's gonna
have an attitude the whole way there is
the way so I'm like okay I I'm just
trying to say anything so we're driving
down the freeway and I remember passing
a semi-truck and then like within
seconds from passing this semi-truck he
starts fish telling and so he starts
going all over the freeway cuz he's
trying to correct him like he's trying
to keep his car from flipping I mean cos
had he went one way or another we would
have we would have flipped the the whole
SUV it would have been a bad accident
but thank God mmm that he was able to
get the car under control but it didn't
what happened was as he was fish telling
he finally he we did spin around a
couple of times on the freeway where all
the cars disappeared too I don't know
because the freeway was full because it
was well I mean it wasn't full but there
was there were cars on the freeway I
remember passing via vehicles before we
start a fish telling a
with that semi-truck and so we were
spinning mm and we ended up hitting the
middle median thing and he busted out
the whole bottom are the back part of
his SUV brand-new SUV yeah so we ended
up happening - and in the midst of all
this I just closed my eyes and was just
like dear lord please haha do not flip
this car and he was like are you okay
are you okay and I'm like I'm fine like
all I had in my mind is now we need to
hurry up and get me to the airport just
get me in one piece of the airport I
need to make it so we pull off from the
freeway really quick and he has to rip
his bumper off the rest week so it was
just hanging and then we get back in the
car and we continue our travel to the
airport I get there I check in and there
started the whole adventure so I flew
from Seattle to Amsterdam and it was a I
mean it was a long flight don't get me
wrong and actually I really was shocked
but I ended up not having anybody
sitting next to me in the plane so that
was really nice because it was my
experience of being on a plane for the
first time as an adult and the airline
was so nice I did have to have a
seatbelt extender and they were just so
nice about it because I'm very shy when
it comes to like I mean clearly you can
look at me and say I'm big but I don't
like drawing an attention to myself
especially when it has to deal with my
weight like I don't want people to have
to accommodate me because of my weight
because I feel well it's my fault
so when I had to ask them for an
extender the guy went up and got it very
quietly like didn't make a scene just
slipped it over to me and I put it on
BAM we were done so we flew into
Amsterdam and
I'll never forget it was an a 14 hour
layover I think I watched over a hundred
planes go in and go out I know it was
eight hours
sorry it wasn't 14 hours it was 8 hour
layover but see here's where it kids
kind of is that I didn't have anything I
couldn't do anything I had no no
headphones I had my phone didn't work
because I was out of range back then
there was no YouTube there was no face
yeah there was Facebook but it wasn't
like really a big deal I guess it was
more like MySpace that was kind of the
thing at the time but I couldn't get on
any of that because my phone wasn't I
I wasn't key smart enough to put myself
on Wi-Fi and all of that so I literally
sat in a hard black chair for eight
hours looking out the window because I
walked I went directly from where I got
off the plane on to where I had to go
for the gate for the next plane um I
went directly to that spot and I sat
down I didn't walk through the airport I
didn't do nothing because I am one of
those that I will get lost I will not be
able to find myself back to where I need
to go and I'm too shy to ask for help
because again I don't want to put
anybody out of convenience so I will
never ask for help because not because
I'm too prideful but because I'm too shy
and you would probably be like a me too
too shy yes Amy is very shy you would
never know it but I am very shy I mean
literally I will get physically ill if I
have to talk to a stranger because
that's how I am
yeah oh my god yeah so when I sat eight
hours I watched so many planes go in go
out I watched him backing up planes
putting planes forward loading the
planes with baggage I mean I watched it
all I watched it all for eight hours so
then when it was time to start getting
ready to load for our plane everything
switched to Arabic
so I'm thinking oh my god oh and that
was the other thing I did not change my
us money
the currency I didn't change it and
there was a bank there at the airport
but again I was too afraid to go and
walk and find it because I figured I
would lose where I was at and then I
would miss my plane
so I did not eat I did not drink I did
not nothing for 32 hours I want to sing
or something like that 36 hours I didn't
even have a sip of water because I was
afraid to drink or eat on the plane
because I was afraid I'd have to use the
bathroom and I would not dare walk
through the plane to try and find the
bathroom because I don't want to bump
into somebody and upset them so I did
not even drink water nothing nada
mmm hmm nope so I sat there for eight
hours I did not eat I had no snacks I
had zero so we everything switched over
to Arabic so at this point now I'm not
understanding anything so I just now I'm
following lines hoping to god I'm
following the right line until I got up
to the the ticket stand and then I was
like well this is where I'm supposed to
be right and I give him my ticket just
like yeah so I flew from Amsterdam to
Egypt and that flight wasn't a very long
flight I want to say it was like 3 hours
2 hours 3 hours something like that
this has been a while ago so I don't
remember too well but then when I got
into Egypt oh yeah so when you get off
the plane I never ever ever had to do
this but well um because I've never
never traveled but I never have seen
this even in movies at my point you get
off the plane on the runway
rather than it pull up to the the
building and then you walk through that
little tunnel thing no no no no no no
they don't make it that easy so they
pull the plane onto the pavement they
put the big ol stairs down you get off
the plane then you have to get on to a
bus and then the bus will take you to
the building where you have to go in to
start the whole process to get through
to go to Egypt
so I'm like what in the world is going
on because I didn't know that people get
off the plane on the runway so I'm
thinking an emergency happened or
something right so then of course I
start panicking but of course I couldn't
let nobody know that I was panicking
because then I would draw attention to
myself so I'm literally about ready to
bust into tears some things something
Bad's happened at this point I didn't
know that we were in Egypt because I
didn't understand that language because
it was all in Arabic oh my god so I
grabbed my my stuff and I'm dragging it
off of the plane with me and then you
got to get on the the bus well it's a
stand-up bus yeah that's a joke
so I can't even hardly keep balance with
my feet on solid ground try to put
myself on a standing bus yeah that was
that was a show in itself so I ended up
getting to the building where we needed
to get off and I get in and oh the line
to get through customs
there was probably 300 people I felt I
don't think there was that many but it
felt like it was gonna take me a
lifetime to get through there so I'm
getting closer to where you have to give
them your passport and they'll stamp it
they give you the visa and but you have
to pay for it well nobody told me I had
to pay for it so and I didn't have
currency that matches you had the
Egyptian currency so I'm thinking oh my
god now they're not gonna let me get
through here they're gonna make me get
back on the plane and go back to an
store day and again I couldn't ask
anybody because nobody was understanding
me so this one lady she happened to be
in front of me I don't know how we ended
up bumping into each other but we did
and she was and she was there to see her
fiance so she knows English really well
so I was like oh and she had been there
before so I of course I linked to her
like a hot dog with its button I mean
you know I wasn't gonna let her go and
so she helped me get through the customs
and stuff and then she helped me get my
bags and then we were walking out
towards the opening of the airport in
Cairo which there they don't allow
people to come into the airport like you
literally have to stand out by the doors
and wait for your loved one to get off
the plane and come through so that was
way different because I was expecting to
see Ollie there right when I got off the
plane and hmm no no no now it might have
changed a little bit now because I know
that they were in the process of
building a new airport when I was there
so I flew in and flew out from the old
airport but they I don't remember
I don't know now how they do that so
anyways once I seen him then I was like
oh like woah I can I can relax I I just
traveled 36 hours on my nerves and they
were shot so I go I run up to him and
and now I'm my my bun is still with me I
wasn't letting her out of my sight very
very quickly mmm now because I was
meeting all day for the first time so I
kept her kinda by my side so I ran up
and I gave him a big hug and she's
behind oli so I'm facing her all he's
facing back and she's like
and I'm hugging them right you know and
um it was you know but I have to say
that the Cairo Airport is they were so
nice I mean very very very helpful help
helpful they were very helpful even
though there was that language barrier
there it still it was a great experience
and flying back was a little bit
different because I didn't have long
layovers I think I flew back into
Amsterdam I don't remember if I flew
into Amsterdam or France I think I flew
into France and he was France but I was
only there for like 15 minutes and
literally I thought I thought I had a
four hour layover so I was kind of
dinking around not really but going from
my one flight to my other but just kind
of taking my time walking oh god I am so
happy because literally they were
closing the gate as I was walking up and
the lady and I well and I went to go sit
down and the lady's like are you for
this flight and I was like no no no my
flights after this one she was like oh
okay and then they were standing there
and then she came back and she's like
can I check your ticket really quick and
I was like yeah so I gave it to her
she's like Oh ma'am you're supposed to
be on this flight I'm like oh okay
so I grabbed all my crap and they had to
undo the gate to get me in there oh my
god how embarrassing right Amy the one
that doesn't want to have any attention
brought to her she made sure to bring
attention to her that day and of course
my seat had to be like almost the back
of the plane but again thank God nobody
was sitting next to me so it was a much
easier flight home travel home than it
was to get to Cairo but it was so having
to experience like going from one you
know what you're used to the language
you know the people the to care that you
know different
cultures give you know it's very
different and it was very different for
me because like I said I have never
traveled outside of the country so this
was all new to me and I honest-to-god
have no idea how I was gonna do with it
but I mean it worked really well and I
you know I would do it again I don't
know about now because I've got little
kids but I you know it would if I I
would have done it again if I had to
because the travel was a very good
trouble it's just when you've got
language barriers and things like that
it does become a little bit harder but
it was fun and you know I made the best
of what I could do but boy now it's like
oh the things that I know like there's
Wi-Fi in YouTube and Facebook and you
know the whole bit oh yeah I probably I
probably would have went ahead and um
had a better time but I you know those
things just weren't an option when I
flew and also I probably because I still
wouldn't have traveled outside of the
airport to like you know like when Ollie
flew here his layover was I don't want
to say yeah like a 14 hour layover and
that's where I got the 14 hours I think
and his was in New York City that guy
went out and you know walked around he's
seen Lady Liberty and oh my gosh like he
just went and had a ball me I'm sitting
on a black chair for eight hours picking
my nose watching the planes go in and
out my excitement was getting up and
going to the bathroom and coming back
but I probably would have had him send
me some money from their currency so I
would have had it rather than having to
exchange if at the airport I probably
would have had him send me money but I
didn't even think about it until I was
there and I was like oh maybe I'll go
and try and find some water or something
and I seen a sign that said
no US money exchange currency at
such-and-such and I'm like oh god so
then I told myself like never I'm just
go sit down Amy go sit down so yeah
anyways I had a lot of people ask me you
know in the past like how was your trip
to Egypt like what were things that you
you know seeing or went through or your
experiences so I thought I would share
with you guys that I thought it would be
kind of fun but yeah anyways I hope you
guys enjoyed that little storytime and I
will come up with another story time
soon no I'm just joking I hope you guys
take care have a wonderful wonderful
wonderful last day of your guys's
weekend and I will check in with you
guys again soon bye bye
